Maybe Austria is on your skiing bucket list, but do you have one saying “Perfect Christmas”? Austria again is your answer.  A lot of cities around the world (especially in Europe) fill the weeks of November and December with Christmas markets that makes it so unfair to pick out only one.
But Vienna for example is a special case.  The Christmas Markets in the lovely Wien truly are an age-old tradition.
Visiting them is one of those travel must-do-things: for shopping, for romance and to get in the holiday-celebrating mood. The Austrian capital puts on a show that makes the rest feel embarrassed and a bit jealous. You will find Vienna’s prettiest squares transformed into magical Christmas places, with more stalls than you’ll ever need.
Here is a list of the Vienna’s Christkindlmarkt and 3 more Austrian cities with this beautiful tradition.
