  1. i have lived in warwickshire, west mids, cornwall and now in france. there are beautiful and interesting/historic places to visit everywhere go out for a day with a picnic, hiking, on a bike or in the car, or a bus as i have done in the past you d’ont need to spend a lot. you can also exchange house for a free holiday. i have for many years now owned an old camping car which i adore, going away for a few days with the dogs, i take my food, you can find plenty of free places to park . as a retired person i prefer going out of season, it is cheaper, but for me, i prefer less people as in july/august. yes france is very expensive in the med area at top hotels or 5 star campings. there are many beautiful regions in france. take a tent its cheaper and the weather is better.in brittany there are no toll charges on the voir express (2 x 2 roads). well happy holidays
