1. Free and Independent
One of the most respected Aquarius traits: Due to the Aquarius‘ very independent personality, they hate to feel held down or restricted, and it can easily make them flee. They really need to be free, and they need time when they can be on their own. It is essential to their well-being. Aquarius is usually different from the crowd; they like doing things their own way. They have a firm opinion on everything, and they always look for intellectual stimulation, constantly discovering something new. The ‘live and let live’ policy where everyone is free to be themselves is crucial for them in relationships.
2. Creative and Innovative
Being one of the most creative zodiac signs, Aquarius always thinks outside the box. They are progressive thinkers and are great at forming new ideologies and theories. They are great partners in intellectual discussions, and they look for partners who can share that passion. Partners who complement them rather than complete them are often great matches.
3. Scientific and Curious Minds
Aquarius has a detailed and specific mind, often trying to figure out how things work. They are also interested in the opposite ends of the spectrum. They like to see both opinions, to experience both sides as they formulate new ideas with their forward-thinking, active mind. Similarly, as much as they like being alone, they are also very social and like to be in the center of attention.
4. Witty and Intelligent
They are really entertaining company and love to make people laugh and cheer them up. Aquarius are happy if they can make others feel good without expecting anything in return. They are very unconventional and always full of excitement. Life is always fun with an Aquarius friend or partner. They are full of spontaneous ideas – be prepared to end up on a hiking holiday just when you are sipping your cocktail on the beach. They are always partners in doing something crazy and adventurous.
Aquarius observe and analyze people and learn how to interact with others through it. As a result, they can deal with any person or personality and adapt to any situation. As they are verbally skilled and very witty, they can be quite persuasive and sometimes even manipulative. The constant search for wisdom and an ability to gather their information objectively is also supported by the fact that emotions do not get in their way.
6. Detached From Emotion
Aquarius is intellect-driven and not emotionally driven. It is not that they are unemotional; they just do not let emotions cloud their judgment; they stay detached from it. It can sometimes be painful for others, but they intend no harm. This characteristic does not mean that they are not capable of intimate relationships. However, it does require flexibility and understanding from the other side so that they won’t get upset because of the air of detachment of Aquarius.
7. Original and Unconventional
Aquarius likes to shock and deviate from the norm; this is how they live. They like changes and welcome anything new as boredom is something that they can’t take. Aquarius is known to pick at anyone they find dull-minded or conventional. Aquarius like to act as an expert on any topic and stay at the center of attention. This makes them feel it is deserved because their eccentricity makes them unique.
Aquarius are loyal and kindhearted; this makes them a great companion and friend. If an Aquarius gives his word, he will make sure he fulfills it. Aquarius would never intentionally hurt anyone; they respect everyone, even though this might not seem apparent to the more emotional types.
The eccentricity and going their own way can make Aquarius stubborn. They live their lives and do their things the way they want, regardless of what others think. Their stubbornness sometimes causes their failure; they will continue to do something their way even though others have proved it is wrong. Despite their stubbornness and fixed opinion, they will never force their ideas on others; they respect everybody’s differences. They never judge others because, as human beings, we are all equal and entitled to our own opinions.
Most Aquarius love engaging in humanitarian activities. They try their best to do whatever is possible to make the world a better place to live in. They want to do something useful with their lives. I think everything in this article is basically correct , except the emotional part because not that I like to admit , but I am very emotional and I am usually emotionally driven more than intellectually.
Agree with Madison, I am emotional too.) And personally, I would not agree that we “like to shock”, I would call it “express our unique individuality” 😉
i am completely detached and unemotional, before looking into my sign it was one of the biggest complaints from my family about my personality. I find that this is pretty accurate and comforting.
I agree with Eugenia and Madison.
Everything seems to me correct here, except indeed the emotional part, which I think is really linked to the creative part and the curiosity aspect.
I don’t know if it can linked to the different period in this sign (I was born the 12th of february) or as well the personal childhood and background.
Anyway, thanks for this 😉
I find that all of this applies to me!
I have been told so many times that I’m emotionally detached. This explains alot for me.
As the top boss of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi has had a dream run so far, raising the profits of her company to dizzying heights. However, the upcoming year may not be too smooth for her. Popular though he may be as the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar will have his task cut out in the upcoming assembly elections, predicts Ganesha.
Sounds about right to me. Although, like others that have commented, despite my appearance of being unemotional, I actually harbor a vast sea of inexpressible emotions inside of me. Perhaps it’s just something learned from those around me. Well done all around.
Very accurate. Just because one does not wear their emotions on their sleeve does not mean they are unemotional. My emotions are deep not superficial and they’re not used to control people or situations.
I think most people don’t know crap about the zodiac sign Aquarius or it’s inhabitants. I read the same stuff that generally applies to every human being on planet earth at some point and time and very rarely do I see any real characteristics that ring true. I have to admit that this is one of the better articles that I’ve come across, though the unemotional part should be burned in hell! The emotional state is more receptive to one’s lunar sign not sun and the last time I checked mine was in Scorpio which explains why I feel like I love people more than there own mother. However, after getting screwed over so many times, I’ve learned to hide the treasure (emotions) in my heart or at least conceal it for as long as need be until I know for sure what another’s intentions are. I don’t call this unemotional, I call it wise. Perhaps it’s in the characteristic to carefully observe and analyze things properly before proceeding that make Aquarians come off as detached. Or the fact that we learn game early and adapt. But to say that we’re unemotional is just as silly as saying that we’re not anatomically correct and that we all sit in the corner w/Einstein hair drawing on a piece of cardboard with mud. I challenge everyone who read this to look up all the material u can find online regarding Aquarius and compare it to the amount u find on every other sign. Aquarius has the shortest descriptions ever and when they are lengthy, it makes u question the validity of the author that generally rewords the same thing they just said about the other 11 signs. Not trying to be difficult but I have noticed.
I agree with most but, I do love intellectual convos and also I am very emotional. Although, I have been told that I was cold and heartless.
Some of this rings true, just like every article about Aquarians. A good thing to add is all Aquarians are different from each other as well. I tend to throw tantrums and lash out when I am controlled by an unfortunate circumstance that I know I could’ve prevented and controlled if I was the person who caused it. I can also seem condescending with my tone when I’m not happy. I’d argue that, simply put, most of us are great idealists.
